Bob Sims said to me three years ago “can you sum up your beach run in a few words?” I could not then, and I cannot now. It was a wildly different experience this time. I decided to attempt the unsupported FKT. Meaning everything I ate, and drank throughout, I had to start with. I refused all the aid, and managed to fight my way from Fort Morgan to Florida once again. I cannot thank enough. The only support I would accept was a kiss, and they honestly kept me going. Thank you, baby. That hurt. Hopefully big news on it becoming a race next year coming soon.

Tomorrow, I’ll once again run from Fort Morgan to Florida. It’s been three years. Just long enough to forget how much it hurts. I happened to meet the son of Gulf Shores Mayor, who is also friends with Flora Bama. So, I think we can actually make a race out of this next year!
