Only 1 DAY left to guarantee your race shirt! While signing up here are some random cross country / 5K facts that sound fake but are apparently real.
• Your body cannot store enough oxygen for an entire 5K race. Which explains why everyone looks personally offended by the finish line.
• Somewhere during every race there is always one person thinking:
“Maybe I’ll never run again.”
…and then signing up for another race 12 minutes later.
• Most runners naturally breathe in rhythm with their footsteps without realizing it. Your brain basically turns into a metronome.
• Running downhill actually causes MORE muscle damage than uphill because your legs are trying to brake your body the whole time.
