The Lutefiskman triathlon is a great "first race" for anyone interested in taking part in a canoe-bike-run triathlon. The canoeing is on calm water and all parts of the course are close to shore. The bike portion is mostly flat with a few rolling hills. The run is well marked and manned. There are also many team options if all three events are too much for you.
