We have now distributed all of the “Big Five” trophy’s to our class winners. Many thanks to Image 360, Inc. And Crown Trophy for knocking these “out of the park” again this year. We had great positive comments from each of the winners including Tabby and Dave (pictured here).

At this time of year, everyone starts putting their classic or special interest vehicles into storage for a long winter’s nap. However, we are already excited about the 2026 show season and what we can do to make our show better, engaging, and more impactful.

The WCCS 3.0 is in the books! Thank you to all who came and participated by bringing their cars, trucks, and tractors to the 2025 version of this event. Thank you to all the volunteer staff who made the event possible. We also want to thank the Lord for amazing weather considering the storms that took place all across the state yesterday. Although it was hot and sticky, the breezes kept us reasonably comfortable and more importantly the rain was held off until we had closed up shop. I hope that if you were considering coming this year that you mark your calendars for the second Saturday of August 2026. We promise to have even more engaging items at WCCS and do our best to make it an enjoyable day not only for the participants but also the spectators. It’s a show where “we like your vehicles, but we care for you”!

Less than one week away from WCCS 3.0!
Saturday August 9, 2025 9am-3pm

“Registration opens at 7:30am for show vehicles”
(FREE coffee and donuts for early bird participants from 7:30-9:00am)

If you own a classic car, truck, special interest vehicle, import, tractor, etc—please bring it out to pour show. We have 12 categories of popular vote trophies with three place winners in each category. Big news this year-the big four trophies (Best of Show, Pastors Choice, Spectators Choice, and Kids Choice) have been expanded to add the furthest distance driven to the show. The Big Five are personalized trophies with a picture of the winning vehicle laminated to the trophy as seen in the pictures below of one of last years winners.

Great food available for purchase—hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Brats, and Dane’s Carolina Pulled pork (back by popular demand!

Kids activities including—hay rides around the property, air inflatables (bouncy house/obstacle course), face painting, balloon animals, etc

Door prizes will be given away throughout the day to all registered participants. Spectators can enter to win a special prize for adults and one for kids (17 and under)

What was your first classic or muscle car? Our car show is only a little over three weeks away and we are excited to see what vehicles the show participants will bring out on SATURDAY AUGUST 9 at 9am-3pm.

However, we also like to see pictures or hear stories of the “ones that got away”.

Don Stertz bought a used 1966 Pontiac Tempest in 1971. It was originally equipped with a 326 Pontiac engine and a 3spd manual transmission. Today there is a phrase called “Day Two” modifications indicated performance or visual aftermarket items added to a car as soon as possible by the owner. Back then, for a teenage guy—it was a necessity if you wanted a personalized or quicker vehicle. Originality was overrated by most—much to the chagrin of modern collectors.

Don modified his car in many ways over the next couple of years as you will see in the pictures below (the captions give the information). Please feel free to add stories and pictures of your first car that you still have or wish you still had…

We have 12 different categories of trophies offered for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place popular vote winners. Then we have what we call “the Big Four”—Spectators Choice, Kids Choice, Pastors Choice, and Best of Show.
These trophies are custom made by Crown Trophy/Image 360, Inc.. the winner gets their cars picture placed on these really cool mementos from our show.
Cindy showed me the new custom design for 2025 and although similar, it is uniquely laid out for this show only!
