🧙‍♀️🧹 THE WITCHES ARE COMING... ONE WEEK FROM TODAY! 🛶🌊

Calling all witches, warlocks, river rats and anyone who looks good in a pointy hat! 😂 Join us for a Witches Paddle down the majestic AuSable River!

We’ll gather at Oscoda Canoe Rental (OCR) at 1:00 PM, launch at Whirlpool and spend about 2–2½ hours floating, laughing and taking in the views before finishing at either OCR or Riverbank Park.

🧙‍♀️ WITCHES HATS ARE ENCOURAGED!
🎃 BOAT DECORATIONS ARE ENCOURAGED!
🛶 GOOD TIMES ARE REQUIRED!

Need a rental? Call OCR ahead of time to reserve your canoe or kayak. They’ll also let you park in their lot and provide transportation to Whirlpool for a small fee.

So dust off your broomstick, grab your favorite witches and let’s make the AuSable River our cauldron for the afternoon! 🧙‍♀️🌊🍂

** PLEASE NOTE if you are using your own transportation and meeting us at Whirlpool, we will be getting dropped by off OCR between 1:15-1:30.

Make sure you have some time to stop at the To the Moon & Back to grab your Practical Magic goods, go to the Murder Mystery paint party at the Queen Bee Soiree LLC Wednesday or Thursday. Go to the premier of Practical Magic 2 at the Lake Theatre in Oscoda. Don’t miss the Witches On The Water Oscoda annual float down the Ausable at 1 pm starting at Whirlpool and lastly, get back to the Moon for their magical event on Saturday

On Saturday, October 24, the witches are taking over Dwight Street in Downtown Oscoda for an afternoon packed with witchy fun, friendship and a whole lot of cackling.

WITCHES WEEKEND 2026 IS COMING TO DOWNTOWN OSCODA!

Grab your coven, dust off your broom and start planning your witchiest weekend of the year!

On Saturday, October 24, the witches are taking over Dwight Street in Downtown Oscoda for an afternoon packed with witchy fun, friendship and a whole lot of cackling.

Festivities begin at 1:00 PM with our DJ, Mystic Alley & tarot readings, Potions & Brews Garden, witchy vendors, photo opportunities and more.

Then things get interesting…

🔮 The Oscoda Witch Trials
💃 The Witches Dance
👑 Miss Bewitched Pageant
🖤 Best Coven Contest
🧹 Best Broom Contest
🐈‍⬛ The Great Oscoda Witch Cackle

At 3:30 PM, we release the witches into Downtown Oscoda for our Great Witches Scavenger Hunt! You’ll follow clues, visit stops throughout downtown and complete witchy challenges along the way. Your final destination brings you to the parade lineup, where we’ll crown Miss Bewitched 2026 and announce our Best Coven and Best Broom before the Great Oscoda Witches Parade takes flight!

Then we’re heading to the AuSable Inn at 6:30 PM for our Grand Finale, more winner announcements and one last gathering of the covens.

Saturday admission is $25 per person.

But why wait until Saturday?

Join us Friday, October 23 at 6:00 PM at the Queen Bee Soirée Studio for a Practical Magic Paint Party, followed by our Witches Speakeasy at Tait’s Bill of Fare with a Tarot Card Reader.

Friday Practical Magic Paint Party: $35 per person.

Come for Friday night. Stay for Saturday. Bring your girlfriends, create a coven, decorate your broom and make a weekend of it.

All witches welcome.
