🚨2026 Mitchell County Fair Demolition Derby🚨

Get ready for a night of horsepower, excitement, and mayhem at the Mitchell County Fairgrounds! 💥🏁

The Mitchell County Fair Board is excited to be running the Demolition Derby this year, and with that comes some NEW rules and updates for participants. If you're planning to compete, please be sure to review the updated rules before derby day.

🔥 New this year: Competitors will have the opportunity to run their Tuff Truck in the Demolition Derby! Be sure to check the rules for details and eligibility requirements.

🤝🏽Fair Boards Helping Fair Boards🤝🏽

Recently, we had the pleasure of welcoming Tom Barnes member of the Howard County Fair Board to Mitchell County. They stopped by to tour our Little Hands Barn and gather ideas and materials as they work to create a similar experience at their fairgrounds called “Grandpa Tom's Barne”

To help support their efforts, the Mitchell County Fair Board was proud to present a $1,000 donation toward the construction of Howard County's new Grandpa Tom's Barne!!

We believe county fairs are stronger when we work together, share ideas, and support one another's projects. It's exciting to see opportunities like this grow across our communities and provide even more hands on experiences for our youngest fairgoers.
We can't wait to see the finished project and wish Howard County the very best as they bring their vision to life!

If you're looking for a place to sit, cool off, enjoy your food, or meet up with friends and family, the gathering area has moved to the new Hog & Sheep Barn at the fairgrounds!

Today’s weather forecast is looking a little gloomy, so we’re moving today’s market to sheltered space for all to enjoy!

Today we will set up the market at the Mitchell County Fairgrounds, utilizing their new Sheep and Poultry shelter. We will be located at 1006 Chestnut Street at the very south of the grounds. Check out the map below for a visual aid!
