The event honors the legacy of Ed Brown, a beloved figure in the local outlaw kart racing scene. Known for his generosity, mentorship, and unwavering support of young racers, Ed was the kind of person who would give the shirt off his back to help someone chase their racing dreams. His unexpected passing in 2021 left a lasting impact on the racing community.

As we gear up for year five, we’re excited to continue celebrating his legacy with an incredible night of racing, community, and giving back.

The highly anticipated 5th Annual Ed Brown Classic, presented by Brown Brothers Racing, will take place on September 6, 2026, at Cycleland Speedway in Chico, California.

In just five short years, the Ed Brown Classic has grown into one of the premier outlaw kart events in California. Drawing top competitors and passionate fans together for an unforgettable night of racing, camaraderie, and community.

The event honors the legacy of Ed Brown, a beloved figure in the local outlaw kart racing scene. Known for his generosity, mentorship, and unwavering support of young racers, Ed was the kind of person who would give the shirt off his back to help someone chase their racing dreams. His unexpected passing in 2021 left a lasting impact on the racing community.

Through the Ed Brown Classic, the Brown Family continues to celebrate his life and carry forward the values he stood for: giving back, lifting others up, and strengthening the racing family he loved so deeply.
Proceeds and support from the event directly benefit young racers and their families, reinforcing Ed’s lifelong commitment to the next generation.

The Brown Family invites the entire racing community to join them on September 6, 2026, for an unforgettable night at Cycleland Speedway.

We are excited to welcome back the 5th Ed Brown Classic at Cycleland Speedway - Chico Ca on September 6th.

🚨 2026 Cycleland Speedway Outlaw Kart Schedule! 🚨

We’re excited to officially unveil the 2026 Outlaw Kart Racing season at the prestigious Cycleland Speedway! Another action-packed year is on deck, and this championship season is shaping up to be one of our best yet.

The 2026 Championship Season will feature 22 Point Races for the following divisions:
• Restricted Box
• Box Stock
• 250 Intermediate
• Open Intermediate
• Open

The Sportsman and Caged Clone divisions will once again split select race nights, each competing in 15 Point Races throughout the season. This marks the second consecutive season using this setup, which proved to be a great success in 2025.

There will be 8 race nights featuring all 7 divisions in competition:
• SRT Spring Challenge – May 23–24
• QRC Cup Weekend – July 24–25
• Ed Brown Classic Weekend – September 5–6
• Grandpa George Night – September 19
• Championship Night – October 10

The remaining 14 Point Races will feature 6 divisions, with either the Sportsman or Caged Clone division rotating in as the sixth class.

More details will be released as we get closer to the green flag — stay tuned for updates as we count down to the 2026 season! 🏁
