I challenge you to go to www.abortionNO. org. DO NOT GO THERE WITH CHILDREN IN THE ROOM. The opening page plays a looped video of a partial birth abortion. It is disturbing, evil, and I didn’t sleep for 3 days after I saw it. It’s been 26 years since I first saw it and it still brings me to tears. But, I think it’s necessary to understand the evil we’re fighting, rather than just as an intellectual concept. If you’re a pro-abortion person, have the courage to take a look at what you’re supporting.
Ultrasound machines save baby’s lives! Over 85% of women who see/hear their little one in utero decide not to abort. That also saves them from a soul-scarring decision that can affect the rest of their lives and their path to the afterlife. Providing for the needs of the little one makes the decision to choose life both easier and a lot less scary.
There are a lot of demands on our time and efforts, and I fully understand this. But, the cause of life is, and should be, one of the primary focuses of our Christian life. This event is a great way to support that cause. I’m asking you to sacrifice. Maybe skip going out for dinner a few nights. Forgo beer for a month. It doesn’t have to be thousands of dollars (although, that’d be great!), but every bit helps. Whether, $5, $50, $500, or $5,000 – it all adds up.
Central Florida Laps for Life has placed over 50 machines in the Central Florida area. They’ve been involved in a total of 63 around the USA by assisting with placement in a few other states. The KofC Ultrasound Initiative has placed about 150 machines across the US. We (CflL4L) literally lead both the USA and the world in this cause. A new machine costs $50,000 or more, depending on the bells and whistles needed to be most effective at a particular pregnancy center.
Last year, all our participants raised just over $100,000 toward this cause. L4L happens in about 13 hours (Saturday) and we’re only at $79,113.45. While this is a big amount, I believe we can do more. Please consider donating to this vital cause. My parents, wife, and son are all on a team together:
Clan Colamarino3: https://page.fundeasy.com/7587200 There’s dozens of other great folks & families fundraising for the cause, as well! Browse around and see if there’s someone you know that you’d like to donate to!

CflL4L is a 501(c)3 charitable organization, so your support is tax deductible
You can give anonymously
Every dollar toward an ultrasound machine is matched by the KofC Supreme council 100%
Every collar toward the Aid & Support After Pregnancy (ASAP) {diapers, formula, clothes, etc} is matched 20% by the KofC supreme council
You can give online at those links, you can mail the check in directly to L4L-PO Box 150025, Altamonte Springs, FL 32715 (be sure to tell them who to credit the donation to), or you can give the money directly to any participant. While they do want donations in by the event so they can close the books, they will keep the donations receivable open for at least a few days and have kept it open for up to the end of March in the past.
While the cause is deadly serious, I like to do fun challenges so my donors know they’re getting good value for their support, aside from supporting the cause of life. Right now, I’m wearing full Scottish regalia for the entire event, I’ll be wearing a 40 pound weight vest for over 2 hours while walking my laps, I have to do 5 pushups after every lap, and I must do a lap doing the Techno Viking Dance. Clan Colamarino3 is 86% of the way to our final goal of $7,777 for this year. I want to do something really spectacular if we meet that goal, but I’m unsure what to do. If you have suggestions, please let me know.
If you don’t know what Laps 4 Life is - we help put ultrasound machines in crisis pregnancy centers and we supply diapers, clothes, & food for babies – all the way up to their teen years in some cases! Many of these centers also provide education and life skills development for moms & families.
