End of an Era at Central Valley 4-H! 🍀

Today, we are tipping our hats and wishing a happy retirement to Penny Root. After 36 incredible years of service to the 4-H community, Penny is officially hanging up her clipboard. Her journey began with 6 dedicated years in Greeley County before she spent the last 30 years becoming a staple of the Valley County office.

Penny, your impact on our youth, families, and volunteers is immeasurable. Thank you for being the heart of our program for over three decades!

Note to the community:
While there will be no formal celebration on her exit, we know she would love to hear from the families she’s impacted over the years. Cards are very welcome!

The 2025 winetasting fundraiser event is in the books. Reflecting on last night's successful event, our hearts are full of gratitude for every person who took part in making it a success! A sincere thank you goes out to the wineries, distilleries, breweries, vendors, and boutiques (many listed below).

Thank you to the many generous businesses that kindly donated items for the live and silent auctions. Thanks to Steve Wolf and crew for running the auction and to those who helped us set up and tear down, we thank you!!

We are thankful that so many in the surrounding area continue to come out and support this event, the fairgrounds and the kids we do it for! Money raised from this event will be used for upgrade/repairs to the outdoor arena this fall/winter.

Remember, the winetasting is always on the Sunday before Thanksgiving every year so get it on your calendars for next year. See you then!

Grills Gone Wild will now be catering our event. Food will be served on tables located on the indoor arena floor. We are pleased to welcome them to our event and are looking forward to a great night of food, drink and shopping!
