Global Mega Events regrets to announce that the Rick James Memorial Funk Fest is forced to suspend tour dates at this time. Due to recent overwhelming negotiations with the City of Compton, in which we have not come to a resolution and at this time are forced to postpone the Funk Fest dates of June 15th and 16th, until further notice. Global Mega Events has sought many avenues to raise revenue, and we have substantially reduced costs in all other areas to make this a generous community project. However, at this time, we cannot resolve these challenges. We stands ready to return to the negotiation table and are seeking other venues for the Rick James Memorial Funk Fest. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused any ticket holders. We will inform the public immediately once we have identified a future date and locations. Again, this is a postponement. All ticket holders will be contacted via email with refund instructions.
