Omaha Summer Arts Festival

In celebration of 50 wonderful years of the Omaha Summer Arts Festival, we’ve sponsored the creation and display of four murals as a lasting legacy to the impact OSAF has had on the Omaha community!

The first two murals have been completed and installed:

1. Artist: Ilaamen Pelshaw (Ilaamen - Art, illustration & Design), located in the Old Market in the alley between Spaghetti Works and Upstream Brewing Company. https://www.ilaamen.com/

2. Artist: Steven Kavanaugh, located in Aksarben next to Pauli’s Sports Lounge (IG: )

Saturday Night at OSAF 50, A Comedy in Four Parts:

Part 1️⃣: Kristen & Maggie drive to Baxter Arena and the bottom of their box of chalk gives out, dumping chalk all over the ground.

Part 2️⃣: While Kristen & Maggie are chalking for the Omaha Farmers Market Sunday Market relocation at Baxter, Bobby takes the tent OSAF borrowed to the OFM storage shed.

Part 3️⃣: Maggie & Bobby drive a golf cart to the OFM shed, put the shed away, and then promptly have their golf cart die on them, thus leaving them stranded at the OFM shed.

Part 4️⃣: Maggie & Bobby push the dead golf cart all the way back to OSAF HQ. At the same time, 2 OSAF security folks are driving on ANOTHER golf cart to pick them up. Like ships in the night, these two parties pass each other without realizing it.

Epilogue: Maggie, Bobby, & Heidi are all locked out of HQ and have to wait outside until the security rescue squad gets back from their ill-fated trip to the OFM shed because they're the only ones with a key.

Schmorgasbord dinner strikes again! Butter chicken wrap from was unexpected as a concept but is 100% worth it 👌. provided sides (hummus plate and Greek fries) and dessert (baklava), all of which were delicious 😋

We've had a lot of amazing volunteers so far this weekend, but Callie the pup might be the best! Her parents are long-time volunteers for OSAF and this year they decided to bring her along to join in the fun! 🐾💜
