TrailCon is thrilled to announce the Lowa Dry-Athlon, a first-of-its-kind competitive relay event combining trail running and biathlon-style laser shooting.

Tuesday June 23 - 3pm

Developed in partnership with the U.S. Biathlon, the Dry-Athlon imagines the classic biathlon format for the trail running world—swapping snow for singletrack and skis for trail shoes.

The event invites all attendees to compete in teams of four in a high-energy relay that tests both speed on the trail and composure at the shooting range—using laser rifles, with no live ammunition or real weapons involved.

Each segment completion gets you one entry into a drawing for a trip to Portland and entry into the Wy’East Trailfest.

Visit the KEEN van to demo Seek or Wander on the segment. Every completed segment during TrailCon in KEEN trail running shoes will unlock a $10 donation to Runners for Public Lands.

This is a social, all-paces effort — a chance to share miles with fellow TrailCon attendees as the sun drops behind the Sierra. Headlamps provided on-site courtesy of Petzl, or bring your own.

Find out how salty your sweat is so you can personalize your hydration plan with at TrailCon 2026.

Everyone loses a different amount of sodium in their sweat. Caleb Olson only loses 655 milligrams of sodium per liter of sweat, whereas Rachel Entrekin’s number is 1,515mg/L!

Book in a Sweat Test with at a special discounted price, with slots available at the Events Center on Monday and at the Vendor Village on Tues/Wed.

The test is done at-rest, is non-invasive and takes ~30 minutes.
