My first hand hammered silver teacup experiment made from a 1oz coin. Feels good in the hand. You don't even notice the weight of the tea. With the flared lip it makes hot holding manageable.

The vegan Almond flour and cashew butter dough and filling is SO filling we decided to cut it down 3/8" around the outside and now it's just right. Texture has a similar mouth feel to a short bread cookie.

Reducing some mango 🥭 on the stove to make a mango compote filling for the next batch. Plan to give it a little kick of spice with some cayenne.

At LONG last my new mica stove glass has come in the mail and I finally got to have the pleasure of removing the old ones and putting new clean ones in the lantern stoves.

I have to say, I've been appreciating old tech more and more and thoroughly enjoying it. I picked up the most advanced and capable manual drill that I've ever seen and honestly had no idea it even existed. It's shockingly beautiful and VERY useful to me. I'm always getting to a project and realizing my batteries aren't quite as charged as I thought.

To be able to inherit these incredible pieces of exquisitely designed and constructed pieces of history that are still as purposeful and vital as the day it was made is an incredible gift and honor.

If you haven't been to a good antique store in a while, I invite you to go. The one I've been finding all my scores is my local Second Hand Rose which is going out of business and everything is 50% off! I'm blown away every time I go.

Had so much fun with my cozy cubical fireplace I figured it should have a little chair to kick back in to enjoy the fire.

This is just a cardboard test to work out the shapes. It will get layered up with more cardboard then quilt batting then that lush green fabric it's sitting on for upholstery.

Found this old gauge from the 40's that reminded me of an old fireplace. Got me thinking.

Ended up going town a rabbit hole of delightful creation and it ended up being my new cozy cubicle fireplace. Complete with antique neon flicker flame light bulb with faux logs made of bushy brown pipe cleaners, it really does have a nice warm glow. I can almost warm my hands on it.

Having a space at work that feels like my own is such a game changer. If you have an office space and it doesn't feel quite comfortable, I invite you to feel into what might make your work space feel more aligned. I LOVE sitting at my desk.

Now I'm dreaming up a miniature antique green lounge chair to sit by the fire....
