The Long Island Fair is one of the longest running fairs in New York State.

Starting in 1842 the fairs were held on vacant lots and farmers fields. 183 years later the fair will be held at Old Bethpage Village Restoration this September 25, 26 and 27.

Now on display at Old Bethpage Village Restoration, this stunning community quilt was handcrafted by members of the Long Island Quilters' Society to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.

Featuring 36 red, white, and blue Friendship Star blocks—a symbol of friendship and unity—the quilt celebrates the ideals that continue to bring communities together.

This one-of-a-kind quilt will be raffled during the 2026 Long Island Fair, taking place September 25–27. Be sure to stop by, admire this incredible work of art, and enter for your chance to take it home.
