Traditional Cherokee Story Telling from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.

We have the pleasure of Ms. Janelle Adair tell traditional Cherokee stories at the festival. Bring your chairs and get comfortable and listen to the old Cherokee folk stories.
The children will really enjoy these stories too.

Janelle is a full-blood United Keetoowah Band citizen, from Tahlequah, Oklahoma. She tells creation stories about how something came to be or about animals. She has been telling stories since 1999 and traveled across the United States sharing her stories.
She has been recognized by the Cherokee Phoenix for her story telling abilities, in 2019, and received the Seven Feathers Culture Award. She is a 2020 Keetoowah Tradition Keeper for her story telling too.
