THIS TUESDAY, join beloved OFX partner Keithan Smith () as he presents to you FEMALE PRISONER #701: SCORPION (1972). One of the biggest inspirations for Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill, this revenge thriller has all the violence you've been craving this holiday season.

This “women-in-prison” exploitation flick features Kaji Meiko, who would later garner fame for her performance as Lady Snowblood, as a woman set up by her lover and unjustly imprisoned. Trapped in the ultra-misogynistic prison complex, she teams up with other female convicts to enact an outrageous plan of revenge.

THIS MONDAY, we are welcoming back our friends from the Central Oklahoma Labor Federation () for a screening of Elia Kazan's ON THE WATERFRONT (1954). Considered to be one of the greatest films ever made about labor unions, social classes, and corruption, we’ll talk about the context in which this film was made, a turbulent historical period where McCarthyism invaded Hollywood, and Kazan's involvement in the conflict between anti-communism and Hollywood creatives.

Marlon Brando stars as Terry Malloy, a dockworker with a promising boxing career until a local mob boss interferes. When a longshoreman is murdered, Terry struggles to fight the corruption of the local mob and its influence on the unions.

THIS SUNDAY, join us for our monthly documentary feature brought to you by beloved OFX partner River Lunsford (). He's got some a real heavy hitter for y'all - the END OF AMERICA Double Feature of Ian Bell's WTO/99 (2025) and Soda Jerk's HELLO DANKNESS (2022).

WTO/99 is an immersive archival documentary that reanimates the clash between the then-emerging World Trade Organization (WTO) and the more than 40,000 people who took to the streets of Seattle to protest the WTO's impact on human rights, labor, and the future effects of continued globalization.

Hello Dankness is a political fable that bears witness to the psychotropic spectacle of American politics from 2016 to 2021, and the mythologies and lore that took root around it. Taking form as a suburban stoner musical, the film follows a neighborhood through these years as consensus reality disintegrates into conspiracy and other contagions. What unfolds is a rogue retelling of history in which hotdogs debate the culture wars, trashcans preach QAnon, zombies rally for revolution, and real events are refashioned as Broadway bangers from Cats, Les Miserables, Annie, and The Phantom of the Opera.

Join us as we observe World AIDS Day with a special screening of Derek Jarman's BLUE (1993).

A lifelong artist, filmmaker, and gay rights activist, BLUE is Jarman's final feature film exploring his experience living with AIDS. Intended as a metaphor for losing his sight due to illness, this film consists entirely of a single shot of blue filling the screen, accompanied by narration and music composed by his friends. Considered to be one of the most impactful avant garde films of all time, BLUE is a cinematic experience in every sense of the phrase.
