Mayor David Holt has declared this week to be OKC Volunteer Week -- and we definitely want to recognize the dozens of green-shirted volunteers who always made BitCon possible. You all are the machine that made our convention flourish!

At our screening of The Wizard last night we announced our search committee to explore spaces for a potential 2019 BitCon reboot. This committee has been touring venues all around Oklahoma City to find a suitable space.

As many of you know, our budget was greatly impacted by the 2017 storm that closed us down for our whole Saturday. We currently sit on about 20% of our typical convention-year budget. But we’ve persevered. We’ve continued to plan gamer-focused events. And we’ve been working to maintain —and build— relationships with donors and friends in the region.

While we don’t have any specific news just yet, know that we’re working on it. And while it may be something new. And it may be somewhere different. And it may be a year or more away...

The same team of volunteers and convention junkies is working to try and make something happen. And we have some new folks helping as well!
