We have “Company” on the way over! Stephen Sondheim and George Furth’s Company is considered a landmark in modern musical theatre and features some of Sondheim’s best-known songs.

Often called the first concept musical, “Company” unfolds through a series of witty and poignant vignettes, all centered around a birthday party—exploring love, marriage, and the complexities of modern connection. This comedic musical is directed by David Henderson and is performing June 12th - July 12th, with its rotation of classic Sondheim songs!

The Ojai Art Center, along with Shine A Light Theatre, presents two nights of powerful and original one-act plays: “The Seatbelt” is about a teenage girl and her mother struggling after a family tragedy, and “Call My Son” featuring Live Storytelling is about an adult son taking care of his mother with Alzheimer’s. Shows are May 2nd at 7:30 PM and May 3rd at 4:00 PM at the Ojai Art Center Theater. The newest live production at The OAC is The Cemetery Club, brought to you by Ojai ACT. Catch it while you can... weekends through April 29th. And, get this, on Saturdays, there's a “Pay What You Can” cash option at the door.

At the heart of Ivan Menchell’s play are three lifelong friends who gather each month before visiting their husbands’ graves. What begins as a simple ritual becomes something more humorously layered when a shy widower enters the picture and gently disrupts their routine.

Directed by Sindy McKay, the production centers on the deep and often hilarious bond between women who have shared decades of life together. Laura Ring, Sharon Reinhold, and Lynn Van Emmerik bring Ida, Lucille, and Doris to life with warmth and wit, joined by Cliff Berens as Sam and Denise Heller as Mildred. This is a warm, witty comedy about friendship, loss, and the unexpected ways life moves forward.
