What time is it???
Oh… it’s not just any time it’s COYOTE TWO MOON TIME, BABY!!!

That magical moment of the year when sleep becomes optional, and the beautiful Ojai mountains are about to witness greatness… and a little bit of suffering (the good kind… mostly).

We are officially at FULL SEND 🚀 getting everything dialed in to deliver an unforgettable weekend epic views, brutal climbs, questionable decisions, and stories you’ll be telling for years.

As the legendary Speedgoat himself, Karl Meltzer, likes to casually say:
“100 miles is not that far…”
which is easy to say when you’ve basically run around the planet a few times 😅

And speaking of legends… throw it back to 2008, the very first Coyote Two Moon, where Karl made that propeller hat spin, and made it look like a casual Sunday jog. One of those “fair weather” years… you know, the kind where everything goes right and nobody cries (much).

But THIS year? What’s in store for you ??

With only 7 days until the 2026 C2M, we’re in that final phase of getting stuff together , sleep is optional… and we still need a few legends to step up and make this thing run smoother than a fresh pair of trail shoes.

We’re looking for brave (and slightly adventurous) souls to fill these critical roles:

Aid Station Heroes: Hand out snacks, hydration, and the occasional life advice to runners questioning their existence.
Trail Marking Ninjas: Make sure no one accidentally turns a 50K into an unplanned 100-miler.
Trail Sweepers: The real MVPs bringing up the rear and making sure every runner gets home.

Whether you’re crewing a runner, love the trail community, or just want front-row seats to some beautiful chaos, we’d love to have you out there with us.

With 300+ ribbons out there… you’d have to actively try to get lost. Like, ignore all signs, and maybe follow a Coyote .

Not only are the ribbons color-coded to your distance, they’re actually labeled too so even if colors aren’t your thing, we’ve got you covered. (If you’re fully blind… yeah, we should probably chat before race day 😅).

And just in case you’re feeling adventurous, every intersection has signs that literally tell you where to go. We’ve done everything short of sending a personal guide named Steve to jog beside you.

Bonus: our ribbons are reusable, eco-friendly, and have seen more miles than most runners.

Let’s talk about Gridley Trail (22W05)

Probably the most manicured trail on the entire Coyote Two Moon course like, if trails got spa days, Gridley definitely gets the hot stones and cucumber water. Smooth, clean, and California carpeting. It’s got that incline that’s perfect whether you’re running up, cruising down, or pretending you’re still “running” while power-hiking with purpose.

You hit Gridley somewhere around mile 52 to mile 63 of the 100 miler. By then, your legs aren’t legs anymore.

This is where Gridley smiles at you like, “C’mon, it’s runnable!” while your quads are feeling the miles.

But honestly, that’s what makes Gridley special. It feels runnable even when your body says otherwise. It’s that trail that gives you just enough hope to trick you into thinking, “Okay… I got this.” And for a few glorious moments you actually do.

So what do you guys think about Gridley?
Trail hero? Sneaky leg killer? Or that mid-race frenemy that looks friendly but knows exactly what it’s doing? 🏃🏾‍♂️⛰️😊
