Not much change with our expected snow totals, although we did shift the 6-10 inch area to include most of Marathon County, including Wausau. Expect light snow to start Sunday morning, becoming heavier throughout the day. Most of the accumulating snow will occur starting Sunday afternoon, with the heaviest Sunday evening. Accumulating snow will come to an end Monday morning as snow changes over to rain.

Big shout out to Prentice Hardware for ordering in some salt for me just in time for the big snow and all the rain we'll be getting afterwards! The Dollar General in Prentice doesn't want any ice on their parking lot or sidewalks and this is an important step to providing that deicing service for them! Thanks Tara Murphy!!

Are you ready for snow? We have a good amount on the way. 4-8 inches of snow could fall in the pink Thursday. 2-4 inches of snow is presently possible in the blue. This will start after midnight and last all day Thursday. It will taper off by early Friday morning.

Good couple of days to stay home. Be very careful if you do have to go anywhere!

One last hurrah before I head to San Antonio for a week and a half. 🀣🀣 Guess I know what I’ll be doing Monday and Tuesday!! Be safe!!!

Our next chance for snow will arrive early next week with a fairly impressive looking storm system. Snow will start falling Monday and continue through much of Tuesday, with the heaviest snow likely falling Monday evening into Monday night. Stay tuned to News 9 for the latest as we track our snow chances.

Bumped up snow totals slightly. Snow is still on track to develop late tonight with the heaviest snow arriving around sunrise Wednesday. Intense lake effect snow bands will develop behind this system tomorrow afternoon. They will likely reach into Vilas, Oneida and Forest counties adding to the snow totals there. Further north, blizzard like conditions are expected for the Gogebic Range north into Houghton and the Keweenaw Peninsula. The light, fluffy nature of the snow will be easy to move around. As always, lift with your legs not with your back. Reduced visibility in blowing and drifting snow will linger into Thursday morning. Getting around will become difficult. Please don't forget your headlights.

Well we got a little snow! I measured 10 inches in my shop yard in Prentice. I am out plowing all day, this one will take a little while but I’ll get everybody cleaned out. Enjoy the beauty of all the snow!
