Ogden Pioneer Days rodeo and celebration, with events planned throughout July, is the biggest and best statehood celebration in Utah. This year, the Ogden Pioneer Days Rodeo will be inducted into the 2017 ProRodeo Hall of Fame. Ogden's rodeo, which annually draws more than 30,000 people, also has been ranked as one of of the top five large outdoor rodeos in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Associati

on. Each year, Ogden Pioneer Days is celebrated at the historic Ogden Pioneer Stadium, where the rodeo started and where the feeling of the American west still lives. Bring the whole family and join us for five nights of rodeo entertainment under the stars.

Less than two months to go, y'all. That's it! 🎉The biggest rodeo in Utah kicks off before you know it and the schedule is absolutely stacked. Here's a taste of what's coming first:
🏆 June 27 - Utah Cowboy Hall of Fame Induction at Union Station, 7pm
🎨 July 3 - First Friday Art Stroll + Traces of the West opens at the Eccles Art Center, 5-8pm
🤠 July 11 - Jr. Posse Jamboree at Spencer Fox Eccles Pioneer Stadium, 9am
🎆 July 12 - Lindquist Fireworks at Ada Lindquist Plaza at dusk
❤️ July 14 - Special Kids Rodeo at Lorin Farr Park, 5-7pm
🐂 July 18 - Bulls, Broncs & Bands with Chancey Williams kicks off rodeo week!

Olivia Favero is what you'd call a first-generation cowgirl. She grew up around her grandfather's horses in Taylor, Utah and started competing at age 8. Her parents learned right alongside her every step of the way for the next 14 years.

And now she's Miss Rodeo America. 🤠👑

Y’all, there's something really beautiful about that story. Just a girl, her horse and a whole lot of grit.

These days Olivia is on the road nearly full-time representing rodeo and the agricultural lifestyle across the country. She recently joked that she's ridden less this year than any year in the past decade!

We are so proud to have a Utah girl wearing that crown. 🧡

There’s no event on our calendar quite like this one. ❤️ On Tuesday July 14 from 5 to 7pm, Lorin Farr Park transforms into a rodeo arena for a very special group of cowgirls and cowboys.

The Special Kids Rodeo gives children with special needs a real rodeo experience: horseback rides, roping activities and memories that last a lifetime.

Whoopie Girls, Miss Rodeo Ogden and Miss Rodeo Utah contestants are all on hand as personal buddies for each child!

This event free to attend. If your child is 14 or younger and you'd like them to participate, pre-registration is required.

Two incredible parades. One legendary morning. July 24 kicks off with the Horse & Hitch Parade followed immediately by the Grande Parade, both rolling down Washington Boulevard right through the heart of Ogden. 🤠

Want to be part of it? Get your Grande Parade application in by May 31 to secure a great spot. Applications for both parades are accepted through June 30. Link in comments!

Every July, something very special happens in downtown Ogden. 🐎 More than 60 life-size painted horses appear along Historic 25th Street, the Junction and Washington Blvd!

Each one is a completely original work of art created by a local artist. No two are alike.

This is the Trail to Pioneer Days, and it's one of Utah's largest public art displays.

It's also the best scavenger hunt you'll find all summer. Families spend hours wandering downtown, tracking down every horse and snapping photos along the way.

And the trail leads straight to Pioneer Stadium!

The horses are arriving mid-July. Keep your eyes peeled. 🤠 When you spot your favorite, be sure to tag us in the photo!
