Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2025, 7:13 p.m.--The weather right now is very concerning and is wreaking havoc on NC12 on the north end of Ocracoke and Hatteras Island. We hope Ocracoke's road will be passable by Friday. NCDOT crews are working diligently to do so, and we thank them.
But it's supposed to be nice starting Thursday afternoon and sunny Friday into Sunday. "Blackbeard's" boat is already here and the pirate/colonial crews are on their way here. Blackbeard's Pirate Jamboree will go on at the Berkley Manor grounds starting Friday, Oct. 31, with the vendor fair from 2-5 pm and a showing of the very first ever mummy movie in 1932, "The Mummy," with Boris Karloff. Then a full slate of activities on Saturday, Nov. 1, from 9 am until 6 pm. On both evenings, activities are happening all around town. We will carry on and we hope you all can get here. Scroll down for the schedule of events.
