Dear Roots family and friends,

Over the years, we’ve grown something out here that feels far beyond an event — it feels like family.

Today, we share heartbreaking news with heavy hearts.Our dear friend Brian Drysdale has passed. Brian was a big part of our gatherings over the last 10 years, and his presence meant more than words can properly express.

Anyone who ever had the pleasure of being around Brian knows the kind of light he carried. He made the world better through laughter, kindness, music, and that genuine smile he gave so freely. He had a special way of bringing rhythm, joy, and energy into every room he entered.

Moments like this remind us how deeply music connects us all, and how precious our time together is.
We are keeping Brian’s family, friends, bandmates, and all those whose lives he touched in our thoughts and prayers. His spirit will live on in the community he helped build through decades of music, friendship, and laughter.

 We’re hosting an Artist Retreat this Saturday, April 25 out here in the heart of the Everglades at Trail Lakes Campground.

Join us for a full day of workshops, nature, and good people—then stick around for a special Saturday night concert with our good friend Josh Morris.
If you caught his set at this year’s festival, you already know… this is one you don’t want to miss.

Gates open at 9AM
