Last Chance for the 2026 Ocean Springs Cemetery Tour!

Tonight is your last chance to experience the beautiful scenery, talented actors and historic stories of dearly departed Ocean Springs friends and family at The Evergreen Cemetery. Pictured are photos from yesterday's tour.

Event is FREE to the public! Tours begin at The Mary C at 5:30-7:30, where you will be taken on a ride to the cemetery, courtesy of the Coast Transit Authority.

‼️🦽To help ensure a comfortable experience for all attendees, a bus will depart from The Mary C. at 5:00 PM for guests who have mobility challenges or would benefit from additional assistance navigating the cemetery grounds.

Today, Wednesday 14th and tomorrow, Thursday 15th, we will be holding our annual Ocean Springs Cemetery tour! Tours begin at The Mary C at 5:30-7:30, where you will be taken on a ride to the Evergreen Cemetery, courtesy of the Coast Transit Authority.

New art pieces have arrived in Ocean Springs! Last Wednesday, artist and sculptor Phil Proctor, the Gateway Committee, and the City of Ocean Springs unveiled the first Gateway Sculpture, inspired by the works of Walter Anderson, marking a major step in bringing art and culture to every entrance of our city.

This project was made possible through collaboration between the City of Ocean Springs, the Walter Anderson Museum of Art, and dedicated partners in the arts and community. The sculpture now stands at the foot of the Biloxi Bridge, welcoming visitors into town with our rich history and creativity.

Another sculpture is currently displayed just before Fort Bayou Draw Bridge on Washington Avenue, and a third sculpture was announced to be in the works for the East entrance of town.

We extend a heartfelt thank‑you to State Representative Hank Zuber, Project Coordinators Julian Rankin and Earl Dismuke, and Gateway Committee members Roxy Condrey, Melanie Allen, Mattie Coddling, and Sarah Qarqish for their collaboration on this project.

This installation is dedicated in loving memory of Melanie Allen, whose passion for public art and community helped shape this project. Her impact continues to shine brightly throughout the City of Ocean Springs.

Be sure to check out the new sculpture the next time you’re crossing the Biloxi or Fort Bayou bridge into town!
