Sand, creativity, and family fun return to Ocean Shores for the Sand & Sawdust Festival!

For years, Sand & Sawdust (June 26, 27 & 28) has been one of the Washington Coast's most beloved summer traditions, bringing together incredible sand sculptors, talented wood carvers, and visitors from across the Pacific Northwest. From breathtaking works of art carved from sand to unforgettable beachside memories, this festival is a true celebration of creativity and community.

This year, everyone has a chance to get involved with the "Down on the Farm" Amateur Sandcastle Contest on Saturday, June 27, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM on the beach! Families, friends, businesses, and community groups are invited to build their own sandcastle creations—no experience necessary, and training is provided.

Compete for cash prizes, show off your team spirit, and spend a day creating memories on the beach. Whether you're a seasoned sand sculptor or just looking for a fun family activity, the amateur contest is the perfect way to become part of the Sand & Sawdust experience.

We can't wait to welcome everyone back for another year of amazing sculptures, friendly competition, and coastal fun in Ocean Shores!
