For the third consecutive year, the Loyal Order of the Moose, Oakridge Lodge #2191, and its community partners and volunteers, are pleased to present the Annual 2024 Easter Egg Hunt and Festivities at Greenwaters Park!! We need YOUR help!!
Friday and Saturday, March 29th & 30th will kick off the Spring season events!! Friday we are hosting Egg decorating at the Greenwaters Park Community Building with some extra special Easter and Spring activities! And as per tradition, Saturday at 10AM SHARP, will be the mad dash of very excited children for the much awaited Annual Egg Hunt!! Eggs will be scattered and hidden for children up to 12 years of age to gather in their baskets… even some prize vouchers! Later in the evening, the festivities will shift over at the Oakridge High School track area where we plan on hiding glow-in-the-dark eggs for the 12 and older kids to have a chance to join in the fun.
Thousands of Eggs will be filled by volunteers over the coming weeks. As you can imagine, there are many eggs and treats that will be needed to bring this event together and costs are on the rise in all sectors. Last year we ran short on eggs and supplies, as we received triple the attendance of children than we had anticipated. This year we are diligently working to make our event more accommodating by tripling the number of eggs at Greenwaters and once again providing the older kids some lasting memories of their childhood in this beautiful community.
Over the next week, the volunteer team will be distributing collection baskets at participating local businesses, and offering our community the chance to donate bagged, individually wrapped candy, for filling the eggs or cash donations to offset some of the event costs. A contribution of $50 dollars can add 500 eggs to the current inventory giving all the kids the opportunity to collect eggs of their own.
