Our Pigfest family has lost a very special man. He was taken too soon from us and we miss him terribly. His dedication to the Oak Harbor community was true and unmatched. He put his heart and numerous hours into helping Pigfest be a success. He believed in his community. Our Pigfest family will make sure we continue what he believed in and won’t let him down. We are one community and together we can make anything happen. The Pigfest festival is cancelled this year and Ron’s wish would be that any donations made will go to the North Whidbey Help House.

We are full of gratitude in your understanding regarding Pigfest 2020 cancellation due to the pandemic. Just thinking about it makes us sad that we’re not able to celebrate once a year as we always have as a community.

But, as a community, we also know how strong we are as we stand together during these troubled times and become even stronger after. We all know how much we love our community and want only the best for all: We know we have to be safe and take precautions so we can go back to what we love doing and that’s BBQ’ing festival style.

Now that we are in a Phase 2 and we can again be with our family and friends, even if it’s only a few people, have a BBQ and please do post pictures and share with us.

Through our website www.oakharborpigfest.com we are still able to take donations for North Whidbey Help House.
