We’re overwhelmed with gratitude as we look back on Saturday.
There are so many details that go into planning and executing a festival.
A huge shoutout to our festival committee for their phenomenal job in hammering out all the details leading up to the event and executing their tasks with such grace! Amanda Aaron, Lexie Sistrunk, Olivia Hurley, Brooke Grey, Lisa Smith, Faith Jones, Brett Morgan, and Charlotte Ruffin—thank you so much for making this the smoothest and most fun festival I’ve ever been a part of.
We can’t thank the Town of Oak Grove and Mayor Rollinson enough for their continuous support and assistance. Their involvement is vital to our festival, and we genuinely appreciate everything they do to help make it a success!
The Oak Grove Police Department prioritized our safety in every aspect of their work. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Bubba and Austin for their exceptional efforts in ensuring organization and security during the festival. Their dedication not only kept everyone safe but also allowed us to enjoy the event with peace of mind.
The Police Jury and Sheriff’s Department are invaluable assets to the Chamber and also played a crucial role in the success of the festival.
The West Carroll Tourist Commission was thrilled to host the Wild Game Cookoff, generously sponsored by Currency Bank. It was a standout feature of our festival, and the food was absolutely incredible! We're also proud to share that they raised $200, which was donated to the Council of Aging.
We were incredibly fortunate to have Mark Brink from the Poverty Point World Heritage Site join us for a day of education and flint knapping. His support and participation made the experience truly memorable, and we are deeply grateful for his contributions.
The Gideons gave out 500 Bibles, and we even had 9 puppies find their forever homes. Life Share was so busy that they stayed after the festival collecting blood donations, which was awesome. Our parade had more participants than I’ve ever seen, several food trucks completely sold out, and Main Street was buzzing with activity!
