Ministry doesn’t just affect the person on stage.

A lot of spouses are quietly carrying pressure, loneliness, expectations, and exhaustion that nobody else sees.

If that’s been your reality lately, you’re not weak for feeling it.

You were never meant to carry ministry alone.

This year at Worship Innovators Conference and in our online community, we’re creating more space for honest conversations like this. Workshops for ministry leaders, spouses, and teams who want to serve the Church without losing themselves in the process.

You don’t get extra points for never taking a weekend off.

If your ministry can’t function without you for one Sunday a month, that’s not health. That’s dependency.

Burnout has been normalized in church culture for way too long.
50 weekends a year isn’t sustainable for most people. Neither is asking volunteers to carry a pace they were never designed to carry.

Healthy worship ministries build rhythms that let people breathe, rest, and stay in it for the long haul.

A rested team will always lead better than an exhausted one.

Send this to the worship leader who needs permission to rest.

Hey friends,

Ministry can be full of people and still feel lonely.

As pastors, worship leaders, and creatives, it’s easy to spend our lives pouring out while quietly becoming isolated ourselves. The pace is fast. The demands are constant. And somewhere in the middle of leading others, friendships and meaningful community can slowly drift to the margins.

But healthy ministry was never meant to be carried alone.

That’s what our May Monthly MeetUp is all about.

TODAY at 12pm Central Time, we’re joined by Jason Squires for a conversation about fostering Christ-like community in the middle of busy seasons of ministry and leadership.

This won’t just be theory. We’re going to talk honestly about relationships, rhythms, and the kind of intentionality it takes to stay connected while carrying real responsibility. We’ll hear from Jason, learn from one another, and spend time interacting around the topic together with live Q&R.

Jason Squires is an author, coach, worship leader, and the Director of The Creative Launch, where he helps creatives and leaders thrive in their calling through coaching, encouragement, and spiritual formation. He also hosts the Leaders Who Create podcast, featuring conversations around creativity, leadership, and faith.

This conversation matters. Strong ministry flows from healthy people, and healthy people don’t live in isolation.

If your ProPresenter operator checks out mid-service… something’s off.

If you’ve ever had someone on ProPresenter just kinda drift mid-set, you’ve seen it.

It usually isn’t about effort. It’s usually because nothing in the system is actually asking them to stay engaged.

We’ve all built setups over time that slowly get heavier, more manual, more “just in case.”
And then we wonder why it feels clunky on a Sunday.

Sometimes the best thing you can do isn’t add more.
It’s simplify and make it easier to follow what’s happening in the room.

Curious what this looks like for your team?

It’s hard to feel thankful for your two blocks when you’re comparing them to someone else’s tower.

God put you here, with these people, on purpose.
You’re not behind. You’re not failing. You’re just early.

Stop measuring your season against someone else’s highlight reel.

Great reminder from Alex from at last year’s conference.

We’re excited to have joining us at WIC26!

There’s a good chance your church has sung songs he’s written. For over 30 years, Paul has been shaping the sound of worship while consistently pouring into leaders and teams along the way.

That kind of voice matters. The kind that’s been in it, stayed faithful, and still shows up to invest in others.

You’re going to want to be in the room for this.

Getting ready for WIC26!

Last week, our conference team met to pray, dream and start shaping what this year’s conference could be.

We kept coming back to one thing:
Community isn’t a bonus in ministry. It’s essential.

Leading week in and week out can get isolating fast. And a lot of worship and production teams are carrying more than people realize.

So this year in Chicago, we’re being really intentional about creating space for connection. Not just great sessions, but real conversations, shared stories, and relationships that actually last beyond the conference.

If you’ve been needing that kind of community, we’d love to have you in the room.

Grab your spot at the link in bio!
And while you’re there, step into our online community too. It’s a place to stay connected with people who understand what you’re carrying.

There’s a kind of weight you don’t really notice at first in ministry.

It builds over time.

Conversations you carry.
Stories you don’t forget.
Situations you wish you could fix but can’t.

And eventually, if you’re not careful, you start leading from a place that hasn’t actually been processed with God.

This session from Garett Higbee was a needed reminder that we don’t have to ignore that weight or push past it.

There’s a way to bring it to God that is honest, raw, and still rooted in trust.

And if we don’t learn how to do that personally, it’s hard to create space for our people to do it corporately.

So let’s learn from each other for a minute:

How does your church practice lament?
Or what songs have helped you create space for it in your sets?

Drop them below so we can build a better language for this together.

Some Sundays feel powerful.
Some feel like nothing is happening.

Both can mess with your heart if you let them.

Because if you believe you caused the “bad” response…
you’ll also believe you caused the good.

And neither is true.

We rely on His strength, not ours.

Stay faithful. God is still moving, even when you can’t see it.

This is something a lot of worship leaders wrestle with, especially early on.

You see something meaningful somewhere else and want your church to experience it too. That’s not a bad thing.

It just doesn’t always translate the way you expect.

A lot of this comes down to learning what actually fits your house, not just what inspired you.

Grateful for Garett & Kate putting language around this in a really helpful way.

If this hits, save it and come back to it next time you’re planning or thinking about culture.

Somewhere along the way, a lot of us were taught this:

Be invisible.
Don’t draw attention to yourself.
Stay out of the way.

And yeah, the heart behind it matters.
We want people to see Jesus.

But God is seen in what He created too.
In art. In music. In people.

That includes you.

Your creativity isn’t competing with worship.
It can actually be an expression of it.

Don’t push down what God put in you.
Use it to serve the people right in front of you.
