Sending a huge thank you to William Nance, our Thunderegg Days Guide for the 2017 rock hounding trips. Everyone reported having so much fun! This year each trip provided a lot of treasured rocks and we appreciate having you lead the groups each day!

Chamber bbq dinner from 5-7 p.m. west end of Mac Hall.
bbq pork, specialty potatoes, chinese cabbage salad, grilled garlic bread & beverage. $13. - 12 yrs and under $8. Order available for take out 541 881-9563.

Vendors are set up and opening tomorrow at 10am. Come on down and spend the day wandering all 3 lawns at Nyssa Elementary school and remember to head inside Mac Hall because it's full of more vendors too! We spent the day getting set up , visiting with our vendors and enjoying the new speaker system up on the stage. Opening ceremony with Nyssa City Manager, Jim Maret at noon. Entertainment starts at 2 pm , ending at 9 pm. Stop by the Chamber booth and pick up a 3 day schedule of events. Outlaw Lawn Dragsters are at 730 in the High School parking lot

Thunderegg Days guided rock hounding tours are scheduled each day and leave at 7am sharp. Thursday's tour will be on the old Oregon Trail and you will find agates. Fridays tour will lead you to find jasper and Saturday you will find Thundereggs. Cost is $5 per carload. Bring plenty of water, sunscreen, rock hammer, a bag to put your treasures in, fill your car's tank of gas and have a spare tire. Meet in the north parking lot of the school on Bower Street
