It’s time.
You may have heard the whispers; a painted sidewalk, a tree covered in yarn, or perhaps multiple large painted signs. The rumors are true! Tomorrow from 10am-4pm is the much anticipated Norway Maine Arts Festival! The team at Lights Out Gallery has been working hard, and is so excited to share with you our most interactive, magical and (hopefully) largest festival yet! We are incredibly grateful for the volunteers, sponsors, artists and community members that have made this spectacular event possible.
Where do I park for the festival?
On-site parking options include the public parking area behind the Fareshare Co-Op located on Whitman, above the Food Court located on Deering*, as well as the Norway Town Office off of Danforth and Beal, and Water Street Parking, situated behind the Gingerbread House. Off-site parking is available at the Guy E. Rowe School (a short walk to Main Street), Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School, and Gouin Athletic Complex (Gouin Field). A shuttle runs between the Oxford Hills High School lot the Gouin Field and the festival approximately every 20 minutes from 9:45 am to 4:30 pm. See our festival map for more information.
*Parking above Food Court on Deering Street will be reserved for Handicap Parking. If you’re able bodied, please consider parking at an off-site lot so that those who need it can access lots on-site.
What should I bring to the festival?
Pack sunscreen and a hat for the afternoon sun. If you’re planning to catch any of the live music and performances, a folding chair or blanket is highly recommended, as seating is limited. A tote or reusable bag is great for any art or vendor finds, and cash is handy since not all vendors may accept cards. While we can’t restrict animals from public streets, we strongly encourage you to leave your furry friends at home. Thank you for your cooperation!
