On behalf of Ben, Marty, Mike and all of our Heywood volunteers, thank you! This was one for the history books. We had more of you join us than ever before, and this was arguably the best Heywood weekend ever.

We’re thrilled to say the finishing photos are in, and available at the link below. You all look so good!

We’d love to hear about your experience at Heywood, how we did, and what we could do to improve.

Thank you again for coming! We had an absolute blast sharing our beautiful backyard with you!

May 15th, 2027 will be the next Heywood in Northfield, we hope you can join us!

We’re not sure a simple Thank You is enough to express our gratitude to literally everyone involved in both participating in this past weekends event and helping behind the scenes. In many ways, this was a benchmark year. FINALLY the perfect May day arrived. We had over 1000 riders. We felt and saw the utter joy of riding in So Many.

That’s what we’re here for. The joy of riding. We’re throwing an event that WE want to attend. And we’re so happy to so many vibing with what we think is a good time on a bike.

So again, from the bottom of our hearts, thanks! We couldn’t do this without YOU.

Little course check in for you 110 and 60 riders! On the 110, Farmer Trail is perfect! For those doing the 60, Issacson tree is still standing, and if you look carefully to the left you’ll see the inspiration for the poster this year.

It’s going to be warm, pack accordingly! There is shade out here, but there’s also lots of exposure! Bring sun protection, bring lots of water! Out of water? Churches have spigots to grab more!

Got some pretty nice company there! Get your spot watching ready at track leaders! We’re sending off riders tonight at 10 for the 404!

You can STILL register for the more normal distances of your calendar has magically freed up!

The upper Midwest doesn't get enough credit for its suffering. No mountains, no famous climbs, no dramatic ocean coastline to keep you company at mile 200. What it has is gravel and a small, slightly unhinged community of riders who have decided that's more than enough. Over the last several years,....

We’re a few days from this scene! The weather looks like it’s going too darn near idyllic. This just might be THE banner year for The Heywood! Let this serve as a reminder that you can register at normal price up through Friday! If you register day of, it’s double ($80).

Don’t get fomo this year! Come join us!

Parking! Please park in the neighborhood to the south of Central Park, (circled) There should be plenty of room for everyone without blocking driveways! Do not park on Carleton’s private lots. They’re marked.

One could also park at Memorial Park[square] where we have our camping for the weekend. Yes! I said weekend! We asked for camping Friday night and Saturday night at memorial field. Tents, trucks/vans are welcome. There’s no room for trailers or large motorhomes though. No fires either!

Weather is STILL looking awesome! It’s going to warm, be sure to bring LOTS of water! Bring sunscreen too. That always helps!

Last year we added a concert at the finish. We liked it so much that we made it BIGGER this year! We added two more bands for your listening pleasure AND got our friends to serve beer in the park! With the weather shaping up to be perfect (🤞🏼), it should all the reason you need to sit a spell and enjoy the goings on post ride!

If you’re part of a team, we encourage you to bring your tents, your easyups, your lounge chairs and your cheering voices to welcome in the riders!

On what may end up being the coldest day of the year here in Northfield, we’re here to remind you that on May 16, a mere 18 weeks away, we’ll be sending you out on our wonderful roads with a whole bunch of your bestest newest friends! And it will be warm(working a deal this year)!

Registration is open.

Plans are being made.

Charcuterie fueling planned.

All are welcome. We’re providing space for everyone to come and enjoy bikes. And music and food!
