Taste of the Coast is an annual family-friendly, culinary event held by Risen Christ Christian Academy at the House of Blues, Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach. Indulge in tastings from a wide variety of the BEST local restaurants while enjoying live music and entertainment, along with lots of fun activities for the kids! Come out for a Taste of the Coast!

Our Story

For many years, Risen Christ Christian Academy hosted an early Spring outdoor celebration for families, called “SonFest”. This family-friendly event drew many Risen Christ families and community friends. In 2007, ambitious parents working with the school’s administration sought a larger venue that would benefit the community and provide a similar family-friendly event for the community as a whole. In 2008, Taste of the Coast of Barefoot Landing was born! The first year of Taste of the Coast, 2,500 participants attended with approximately 15 restaurants represented. In 2011, well over 20 restaurants and well over 5,000 participants enjoyed a memorable day at Taste of the Coast at Barefoot Landing. The 2013 Taste of the Coast boasted well over 26 restaurants. In May 2014, Taste of the Coast moved to a new location at the new North Myrtle Beach Parks and Sports Complex located near Highway 31 off the Main Street Connector. 2016 brought exciting changes as Risen Christ partnered with the House of Blues at Barefoot Landing and the House of Blues became the new venue for Taste of the Coast. Taste of the Coast will return to the House of Blues on April 27, 2019 – proudly celebrating its 12th year!
