Sing Me Home is presented by Manchester Church of the Brethren and Friends with the Weather

In just over 24 hours we’ll be gathering at the Manchester Church of the Brethren for our inaugural Peace Camp to kick off an exciting weekend of Sing Me Home 2026. It’s been a wonderful week of final preparations, buzz building through community word of mouth and media coverage, and a gorgeous weather forecast! We look forward to seeing you tomorrow (Saturday) and Sunday and wanted to share a few final details…

What to bring:

👒 Hat - most Peace Camp activities will be in the shade but it looks like it will be bright and sunny tomorrow afternoon and Sunday morning! 😎

💧 Water bottle - we will have water coolers for you to refill.

🧥 Something to stay warm as the temperatures dip in the evening.

🪑Lawn chair or blanket - we will have some seating available but encourage you to bring your own if you can.

💵 Money - Saturday evening food vendors only accept cash and there will be some wonderful merchandise available from some of our artists.

🥘 A dish to share for the Sunday lunch potluck. Volunteers will be available to receive food before the 10am worship celebration for dishes that need to stay warm or be refrigerated.

The Tomorrow’s Ken project is an invitation to reflect on the humanity of those living within the American prison system. It is a collection of video portraits of people who are currently or formerly incarcerated. Each portrait is centered around an audio-recorded interview, with original music and imagery added in support of the narrative. This project is facilitated by composer, Tim Reed.

The Tomorrow’s Ken project exhibit will be displayed inside the Manchester Church of the Brethren chapel, straight ahead as you enter through the main doors. Sing Me Home attendees are invited and encouraged to visit the exhibit anytime during the festival Saturday or Sunday. The exhibit will be on display through Sunday, October 4.

Who’s hungry?! 😋 Papusas, arepas, barbecue, and kombucha are just a few of the tasty choices that our Saturday evening food vendors will have to offer. Many thanks to Nourish Indiana, Amor Colombian, Bear Bones BRBQ, and SymbiSoda for joining us for Sing Me Home 2026!

We will have water coolers available to refill your water bottles and if you’d prefer to bring a picnic, please do!

Sunday lunch will be a community potluck so bring a dish to share if you’re able. Volunteers will be available before the worship celebration between 9:30-10 to receive dishes to be put in warmers or the refrigerator.

David Hupp is a musician and writer from North Manchester, IN, where he lives with his family. David has served as an accompanist and piano instructor at Manchester University, accompanist and musical director for Manchester High School theater productions, and is currently the director of music at the Manchester Church of the Brethren. He is also a founding member of the band Friends with the Weather. David’s musical language draws on varied traditions including Jazz, R & B, Rock and Gospel.

Saturday night’s closing set of music at 8:30 will feature David’s original choral compositions performed by a community choir and all-star local band featuring Josh Adler on bass, Luke Lehman on trumpet, and Tim Reed on drums. Vocal soloists include Jake Svay, Kora Beasley, Natalie Reed, Robbie Bucher, and Katherine Haff. Don’t miss it! Sing Me Home 2026

Jack Wilson Fisher is a 17 year old singer songwriter from Speedway, Indiana. He started playing the guitar around 5 years ago and began writing his own songs within the last year, inspired by a wide variety of topics and stories.

Jack will be sharing his music on Sunday at 1pm as we welcome him to Sing Me Home for the first time. We hope you’ll join us for Sing Me Home 2026!
