Welcome back to another awesome year of We Are ALL Readers!

The 2027 We Are ALL Readers Festival will take place on March 20th at North Kingstown High School.

We Are ALL Readers is really a community project so we would love to have your help!

Thank you to the ACLU of Rhode Island for including We Are ALL Readers as part of your 2026 Celebration of Banned Books.

Conceived in 2022 as a positive counter response to book bans occurring across the country and right here in our state, We Are ALL Readers is a free, family-friendly celebration of diverse children's books. We bring authors and illustrators in for readings, talks, book signings, art and writing activities.

The idea is pretty simple. Children should be able to see themselves in the books they read, but they should also have the opportunity to learn about people whose lives and experiences are different from their own.

We Are ALL Readers is a way of choosing celebration amidst censorship, connection over division, and making sure there is a place at the table for every reader.

Join us on March 20th at North Kingstown High School!
