This year the Emergency Vehicle Lights & Sirens Procession will travel a new 11 mile route through North Aurora and Aurora and end with a static display at the Aurora Transportation Center. Lincolnway (Route 31), North Aurora, IL 60542 just north of the Route 31 I-88 exit and Airport Rd. The procession kicks off at 6:30 PM sharp and arrives at 7:30 p.m. at the Aurora Transportation Center, 415 N. Broadway St., Aurora, IL 60505. Those who do not wish to stay for the static display will be turned around after entering the Aurora Transportation Center parking lot. The Village of North Aurora is asking for those who wish to attend to attend with an emergency vehicle to email a vehicle count to [email protected]

In order to better honor our public safety providers and protect the hobby, please no unmarked police cars in the Emergency Vehicle Lights & Sirens Procession unless they are government owned or antique (model year 1994 or older). Tow vehicles and trailers may be temporarily parked at the staging area or at the Aurora Transportation Center. Chicagoland Emergency Vehicle Show Day Cancelled

Unfortunately we must announce that the Saturday Chicagoland Emergency Show sponsored Village of Oswego and Oswego Firefighters Local #4773 has been cancelled due to outside obligations by show organizer Dave Weaver who has decided to hang his hat as CEVS organizer. Dave apologizes to the many FD members and civilian volunteers who were poised to assist this year and to the many collectors and spectators who may have taken vacation time and planned their weekend to attend Saturday’s cancelled event. Oswego FD has done an amazing job the last three years with assisting with show coordination and we hope to see the CEVS reincarnated in 2020 but it’s future is unknown. Until then, please participate and enjoy the 2019 Emergency Vehicle Lights & Sirens Procession! Please share this event with your friends! https://www.facebook.com/events/522394665191098/

The Chicagoland Emergency Vehicle Show is no longer being held. North Aurora has not yet announced whether there will be a 2021 North Aurora Days or the Emergency Vehicle Lights & Sirens Parade adopted by the Village in 2019.

UPDATE: On 6/11 the Village of North Aurora announced there will be no North Aurora Days this year but rather a one day festival 9/18 at North Aurora Riverfront Park. While details will be posted on the Village's Facebook and website, as of now there are no plans for an Emergency Vehicle Lights & Sirens Parade.

06/12/2020

Due to the Coronavirus, the North Aurora Days Festival has been cancelled and so the previously announced Emergency Vehicle Lights & Sirens Parade in North Aurora has been cancelled as well.

While the parade should be back in 2021, at this time there are no plans to conduct a Chicagoland Emergency Vehicle Show. Thank you to all past show participants, attendees, and volunteers, and past host cities of Rosemont, North Aurora, Mooseheart, Aurora, and Oswego who together helped make the CEVS a successful event during its 21 year run. Any town, agency, or organization wishing to continue to host and organize the CEVS is welcome to contact this page.

TONIGHT ONLY: The Emergency Vehicle Lights & Sirens Procession is just hours away. Kickoff from the North Aurora PD is 6:30 PM SHARP. It's not too late to make it "your emergency to participate." Please bring an emergency vehicle, or line the route (Luigi's Pizza a great viewing spot) to show our region's first responders that you care and see and hear the emergency vehicles used throughout time to get the job done!
