The 2026 Oklahoma State Wiener Dog Racing Championships and Costume Contest was a huge success this past weekend. I will post the winners of both events tomorrow. My name is Richard Peters and together with my son Tad, and daughter Rhianna, started this event 11 years ago and have watched it grow each year to what we have made it today. We have a tremendous support staff including Molly and son Cole, Keira and daughter Ada, Steve Davis, Blake and son Roudy and numerous other volunteers. We would also like to thank our major sponsor, Pretty Pet Parlor for their support each show we do. I will be posting the winners in just a few hours. I love promoting and conducting this event each of the 11 years I have done this event from coming up with the idea, organizing it, and meeting all the wonderful dogs and their owners. Thanks for your support.

Wiener Update- Racers, it's almost time to "Start Your Engines". Next Sunday, Sept 13th, Cleveland County Fairgrounds, Norman, OK.
Shirts are ordered. I ended up selecting all the colors and all sizes but they are very limited. I suggest you get one ASAP and early because when they are gone, they are gone. The response wasn't really strong, so I had to just guess on numbers. Get them while they last. Below is the post I made asking for colors and sizes. Good Luck.

"I need your opinions. I am going to order T-shirts this year for the Wiener Dog Racing Championships, but I need to get everyone's opinion on which color of shirts to order and your size so I have an idea on how many and what color to order. Since there are so many colors involved in this shirt design, the Price will be around $20.00. Select 2 colors and list your size IF you plan on being at the Races. If enough people say they are interested in these, I will order them."

I am donating this plaque to the Special Needs Dairy Showman at our county fair on the 11th. I hope the winner likes it. I personally love it, I should. LOL.
