Speaker Feature: Stacey Fletcher, RDH, IBCLC 🦷

Stacey is a registered Dental Hygienist with a singular goal of helping people achieve optimal dental health, however, once her son was born it sparked new interests and she realized to do that she needed to be further educated on other aspects of the mouth.

When her son was born she struggled immensely with breastfeeding. Her son had a lip tie and posterior tongue tie, but no one looked in his mouth when she complained of pain so it went untreated. He struggled to gain weight and cried non-stop.

Staccey then attended a La Leche League meeting when her son was 6 weeks old. A fellow mother mentioned that she thought Stacey's son might be struggling due to these “ties.” As a dental professional, she was sure she would know if ties were the issue or not. However, the other mother was correct and Stacey was misinformed.

She delved into research and conversations with new dental professionals- telling her that the frena (that she was taught had no purpose) could be the source of her problems. She had her son’s lip tie corrected at 2 months of age, and it saved their nursing relationship. 🤱

Stacey's new goal is to serve families, from infancy through the golden years-to achieve optimal oral health and optimal oral function at every stage of life.

Speaker Feature: Alisa DeMarco, Babywearing consultant + Founder/Owner of Tekhni Woven Sling Studio 🤰

Alisa DeMarco been a part of the babywearing community approximately 14 years. And most of those years involved a business of some sort. Her first was a dye business which focused on customizing wraparound carriers and slings, called Color Dip Studios. In 2013 Alisa left her corporate job to start Tekhni Wovens, and in 2018 she added Studio Tekhni. Along the way she has continued working for and collaborated with other companies in the babywearing industry including Beco, Boba, Moby, Tula, Tushbaby and more. She is also a board member of the BCIA.

Alisa's personal and professional goal started and remains to create stylish, functional, affordable and accessible baby carriers for everyone. Educating caregivers on the benefits of babywearing and how to properly babywear.

Speaker Feature: Brittany Sandoval, RN, IBCLC 🤱

Brittany is a Registered Nurse and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant who has worked with infants, children, and lactating persons for over a decade. Through her personal experiences in feeding her three daughters, two of whom have chronic medical needs, she found her passion in supporting families with complex feeding journeys. She moved to private practice from inpatient consulting to serve families in all feeding stages, starting Your Feeding Friend LLC in January of 2022.

Brittany has a passion for inclusive support, meaning no matter how the child receives nutrition, she prides herself on being knowledgeable and understanding. She advocates for optimizing infant nutrition in various forms and working to create individualized plans for each family and their unique needs. By working with the Coalition of Oklahoma Breastfeeding Advocates and as a member of the United States Lactation Consultant Association, she hopes to continue spreading this awareness throughout the medical community, helping expand support for families with complex feeding needs.

Speaker Feature: Dr. Jill DeLong👩‍⚕️

Dr. Jill DeLong graduated with her doctorate of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic. While in school, she completed her clinicals with a pediatric diplomat doctor, delivering high level chiropractic care to families, focusing on infants, toddlers, and pregnant women. She then traveled abroad where she adjusted & educated the underserved children of Bequia.

Dr. Jill is certified in the Webster Technique through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). Webster is used with pregnant women to balance the pelvis & relax the round ligaments to allow the baby to move freely. This technique also allows for optimal function of the pelvis throughout pregnancy & especially during labor & delivery. Dr. Jill has more than 200 hours of advanced pediatric training working towards her Pediatric Diplomat certification with the ICPA. She has an innovative approach using a combination of Sacro-Occipital techniques, spinal corrections protocols, along with the 5 Essentials of MaxLiving, to assist in removing interference to the nerve system so her patients can obtain their ideal delivery.

Chelsea is certified in perinatal mental health and trained in areas related to perinatal challenges- such as grief/loss, infertility, perinatal mood disorders, birth trauma, NICU, and using EMDR for perinatal mental health.

Caitlin is trained in EMDR and applying EMDR to kids. She also has training and is passionate about attachment therapy, parenting support and techniques, and maternal mental health.
