Internationally recognized as one of the greatest violinists performing today, we’re thrilled Augustin Hadelich will make his Music Shed debut this summer on July 25.

Buy your tickets now for the opportunity to hear this extraordinary musician in a virtuosic solo violin performance featuring an impressive range of works, from a timeless partita by J.S. Bach to music by Coleridge-Taylor Perkinson that blends blues traditions with classical forms.

This performance is part of the Festival’s annual fundraising gala. Event proceeds go directly to support scholarships for the Norfolk Fellows.

Congratulations to ZaRiah (NCMF ’25), the 2026 Fischoff Competition’s Grand Prize Winners!

Founded in 1973 by Joseph E. Fischoff and fellow members of the South Bend Chamber Music Society, the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition is the largest and longest running chamber music competition in the US.

Mark your calendars! You’ll have a chance to hear ZaRiah — Benjamin Smith (flute), Jamison Hillian (oboe), Katelyn Poetker (clarinet), AJ Neubert (bassoon), Oved Rico (horn) — with Festival Director and pianist Melvin Chen perform at 4PM on Saturday, May 30 at the Litchfield Community Center, in the Waterbury Symphony Orchestra's Young Artist Chamber Concert series.

It may be the middle of winter, but this Sunday, January 18 at 4 PM, you'll have an opportunity to think summer thoughts as 2025 alumni ZaRiah and Festival Director and pianist Melvin Chen appear in a chamber performance hosted by the Waterbury Symphony Orchestra in Litchfield, CT.⁠

The award-winning ZaRiah will present a program featuring: Samuel Coleridge-Taylor: They Will Not Lend Me a Child; Carl Nielsen: Wind Quintet, Op. 43; Valerie Coleman: Tzigane; and Francis Poulenc: Sextet with pianist Melvin Chen.⁠
