AHS 2017 Convention The American Hemerocallis Society (AHS) host an annual National Convention and in 2017 the convention will be in Norfolk, VA

The Tidewater Daylily Society will host the 71st annual AHS National Convention at the Norfolk Waterside Marriott in June 2017.

There were three Region 3 awards for which all attendees at voted. The 3rd award was the Serge Rigaud Award. This award is given for the best red cultivar blooming in a clump. The winner is Mystic Pizza, hybridized by Pat Cochenour, seen in the Feistel-Driver garden.

There were three Region 3 awards for which all attendees at voted. The 2nd award was the Region 3 Dan Tau Seedling Bed Award located at the Norfolk Botanical Garden. This award is given for the best seedling from a Region 3 hybridizer.
2nd Runner Up was a tie Seedling #20 hybridized by Margo Reed and Seedling #25 hybridized by Joseph Tomlinson
1st Runner Up Seedling #49 hybridized by Gary Ball
Winner with 106 votes #22 hybridized by Margo Reed.

There were three Region 3 awards for which all attendees at voted. The 1st award was the John Wente Award given for the best clump registered by a Region 3 hybridizer, either living, deceased, The winner was GREY WITCH by Margo Reed seen in Lissa Cash's, and Eileen Walsh's gardens as well as at the Norfolk Botanical Garden.
