The love. 💗

This is difficult to write. Normally we would be welcoming Jill Phillips to one of our ultra distance events at . She was a passionate runner, advocate for our kids, and a revered volunteer and host of . She was steadfast, determined, kind, thoughtful, and beyond dedicated to those she loved.

We lost our beloved Jill in December, and her absence at run4kids will be felt deeply by all. This year we will not be able to run with Jill, but we will be able to run FOR her.

Welcome, TEAM JILL, to Run4Kids 2026. May the miles you run next weekend celebrate her life and the love, enthusiasm, joy, and reverence she had for her little runners, her friends, and her magnificent family.

What a gift Jill is to all of us. 🩷

We can’t wait to award an honorary buckle on behalf of Jill to your team when you all cross that magical 100th mile. 🏅

It will be the greatest honor to have you all here. No doubt Jill will be running with us in spirit. ✨

She is the single greatest female ultramarathon runner of all time, hands down, no question.

She has won Western States 14 times, most recently in 2003. She held the women’s course record for 18 years.

Most recently, she completed 100 miles at Across the Years with .

According to an article and runoutside.com, “…Despite being one of the most accomplished humans in ultrarunning history, (she) has never wanted the spotlight. She just wants to be one of the people, doing her thing, showing up, celebrating the eclectic, generous ecosystem that is ultrarunning.”

She is a hero and role model to so so many and now she will be to hundreds more! Our kids are going to be on the track and trail with a true legend. My heart is so full. 🩷

I couldn’t be more excited and honored to announce that the one and only Ann Trason will join us for 24 hours at this year.

Bob Lynch is back, we love him so much, and we couldn’t be more ecstatic to have him for 24 whole hours!
