timing is everything

Wow. This is Sunday nights 99.9% waxing moon rise over Mount Rainier. The incredible capture was by Debbie Heyer. She said, “It was so cool watching it roll up the left side of the mountain.”

Mount Rainier, also known as Tahoma, is a large active stratovolcano in the Cascade Range of the Pacific Northwest in the United States. The mountain is located in Mount Rainier National Park about 59 miles south-southeast of Seattle.

It's with deep regret that I have to announce that Thunder Valley Rockfest is not gonna be able to happen this year...
Covid 19 has absolutely everything screwed up to the point that insurance companies won't even discuss coverage for a festival. Sponsors that I would normally speak to about a show Are hesitant to get involved Because nobody wants to be titled and labelled as a super spreader..
Between myself and 3 insurance agents ... We spoke with roughly 250 different carriers. None willing to provide coverage.. When company hung up on me as soon as I said festival... Literally The conversation went like this period hello Mr. Murdock what can we do for you today... I would like to talk with you about getting some insurance coverage.. OK Mr. Murdock we can certainly help you with that noooo problem.. What kind of coverage would you be needing sir.... Well I'm looking for roughly 5 million dollars in general liability coverage for music festival...

I would be foolish To try and move forward with the show without insurance.
How are other festivals getting insurance you ask??
I have no clue other than they are probably able to spend HUGE amounts of money To get that insurance. And I am not able to do that..

So now I'm gonna start working on 2022. Hopefully things will settle down and the music landscape will get back to normal..

Believe me when I say that The last thing I wanted to do was postpone

Band submissions for the Proving Grounds at ThunderValleyRockFest.com will begin at 12:00 noon today and will remain open until Thanksgiving day.

SUBMISSIONS MUST GO THROUGH THE ThunderValley Rockfest website. You will see the link on the website At 1 o'clock.
🚨 Any submission Not sent through the Website will not be looked at. Not because I'm trying to be a jerk. It's strictly because I don't want multiple submissions in multiple locations.

🚨 Multiple submissions WILL NOT increase your odds of playing.

🚨 Please do not send Dropbox links.. A proper EPK will have its own link. ( I don't use Dropbox)

🚨 Please keep in mind that Slots are VERY LIMITED...(The Proving Prounds at Rocklahoma Received almost 600 submissions from 8 different countries... for 33 slots)
🚨 Competition is going to be VERY stiff for each slot!!
🚨 I STRONGLY SUGGEST that you put your best foot forward. 🚨🚨Management and record labels will be on site Looking at you with A potential contract for you.

Myself and my team WILL go through EVERY EPK 1 by 1.. We're definitely looking forward to checking out each one of your EPKs!
