Summer Sounds Summer Sounds is a community band concert series, held at Mystic River Park, Cottrell Street, Mystic, CT. at 7PM Tuesday evenings from June 9 - August 5, 2026

Hosted by the Noank-Mystic Community Band, Summer Sounds is a community band concert series now in its eighteenth season. Concerts will be held on Tuesdays June 17 - August 5 at 7PM. Concerts are sponsored by area businesses and local civic organizations. Admission is free; bring lawn chairs /blankets.

Looking forward to warmer weather!

Celebrating our twenty-ninth season, the Noank-Mystic Community Band will again host the Summer Sounds concert series at Mystic River Park by the Mystic Drawbridge on Tuesday evenings at 7 PM from June 9 to August 5. The series features a different area community musical organization each week for nine weeks (ten concerts). Admission to these popular concerts is free to the public.
The concert schedule is as follows:

6/16 Time & Changes Jazz Orchestra
6/23 As Time Goes By swing band
6/30 Thames River Big Band
7/7 Old Lyme Town Band
7/14 Middletown Symphonic Band

8/4 102nd Army Band of the CT National Guard
8/5 Noank-Mystic Community Band

We are honored to include the 102nd Army Band of the Connecticut National Guard on our schedule again this year. They are on tour in the area again this summer, and we were able to fit them into our schedule.
To start the series, The Mystic Pipes & Drums will perform before the opening concert of The Noank-Mystic Community Band.

Summer Sounds has completed another sucessful season. After dealing with iffy weather in the beginning, we finished off with clear weather. Much thanks to supportive and faithful audience!

Thanks to our participating bands - your host, Noank-Mystic Community Band, As Time Goes By swing band, Thames River Big Band, Time & Changes Jazz Orchestra, Middletown Symphomic Band (even though their concert was cancelled due to weather), Westerly Band, Old Lyme Town Band, Waterford Community Band, and the 102nd Army Band of the Connecticut National Guard.

Our thanks to our sponsors - we couldn't do it without you - Charter Oak Federal Credit Union (major Sponsor), Rotary Club of Mystic, Mystic Woman's Club, Mystic Lions Club, Densmore Oil, and Judy Caracausa of the Market Team.

Thanks to Mystic River Park Comission and Dick Sylvestri, park manager, for such a beautiful place to perform!
