After 15 years under the leadership of the previous event committee, a new committee affiliated with Heart to Heart Child Advocacy Center has committed to continuing this valued annual tradition.

This event has long been a cherished part of Harvey County, made possible through the dedication and hard work of the former committee. With their guidance and support, we are honored to carry this legacy forward and ensure the event continues to foster joy, connection, and lasting memories within our community.

After 15 incredible years, the Cookie Daze 5k Race Committee has made the bittersweet decision to no longer organize the 5k fun run. What started as a few friends putting together a fun and unique event to benefit two amazing organizations, turned into something truly special.

Over the past 15 years, we raised and donated almost $53,000 to Safehope and Caring Hands Humane Society. That number represents impact. Hope for families, care for animals, and support for neighbors in need. Every cookie eaten, every smile at the finish line, every registration and sponsorship helped make that difference.

Thank you to every runner, walker, volunteer, sponsor and cheerleader who made Cookie Daze what it was. You embraced the fun, supported the mission, and showed up year after year. For that we are eternally grateful.

Fifteen Years. $53,000 raised. Countless cookies shared. Unforgettable memories made. What a sweet run it's been!! 🍪🏃‍♀️‍➡️🏃‍♂️‍➡️❤️

We’re thrilled to announce that proceeds from the 15th Annual Cookie Daze 5K have been distributed, and thanks to your incredible support, each organization received $2,450, our highest amount yet!

Safehope and Caring Hands Humane Society play vital roles in our community, and we’re honored to support them.

A heartfelt thank you to all our participants, sponsors, and volunteers. Your generosity and enthusiasm make this event so meaningful. 💕👏

The 15th Annual Cookie Daze 5k was a huge success, not to mention memorable (thanks to the weather😂), and we really want to thank ALL the participants, volunteers and sponsors. We love being able to give back to Safehope and Caring Hands Humane Society but couldn't do it without your support, so THANK YOU!!!

We have been busy trying to distribute age group award medals and winners of the raffle tickets but still have many to go. If you are a winner, you can pick it up at 130 E 4th in Newton or send a message and we can mail it to you.
