Sometimes you have to look back at where you started to truly appreciate just how far you’ve come.
When we first purchased this property, we saw something that others might not have seen. We saw potential. We saw possibilities. And we envisioned creating something special in the heart of the Newton Falls Downtown Historic District.
But turning that vision into reality was no small undertaking.
The amount of time, hard work, money, planning, and attention to detail that went into transforming this property is almost impossible to describe.
Looking through these before-and-after photographs, it’s hard to believe we’re looking at the same place!
From deteriorating brickwork, overgrown areas, and aging exterior features to a beautifully renovated building and an inviting outdoor gathering space, the transformation has been remarkable.
And that’s only what you can see from the outside!
Inside, we created Split River Social, a beautiful event venue that combines the historic character of the building with modern comforts and timeless elegance.
With approximately 3,950 square feet of event space, original hardwood floors, soaring 12-foot ceilings, 11 beautiful chandeliers, elegant lighting, and seating for up to 98 guests, we wanted to create a space that people would be proud to rent for life’s special occasions.
Just outside, we transformed a once-neglected alleyway into Emilia’s Sole Alleata, a European-inspired outdoor gathering space featuring beautiful brick walls, decorative lighting, café-style seating, and an atmosphere that is truly unique to downtown Newton Falls.
What was once an overlooked space has become another beautiful place to gather, celebrate, and make memories.

It certainly hasn’t been easy. There have been plenty of challenges, countless hours of work, and more than a few moments when we wondered what we’d gotten ourselves into!
But looking at these photographs today, we can say that it has absolutely been worth it.
