This Saturday, October 17th at Primaltones in Newport! Send in the Clowns! It's time for our annual monster's ball! This is not your kids' clown party so don't miss this once in a lifetime gaggle of clown fun! We're going to jump start Halloween with an all-clown themed costume gala. Fluff up your wig, tie your oversized shoes, and don't forget your whoopie cushion, cause this clown party is going to be a blast!

Prepare yourself for fun surprises and get ready to dance the night away to DJ Baby. We'll be scouting out the best clowns to give prizes to. If you forget to do your makeup, don't worry! We'll have a special clown fixer uper room with all the latest water based paints.

This Friday October 16th at Primaltones in Newport! We're excited to welcome Whipsaw! Whipsaw is a two man Guitar/Banjo - Drum duo from the weeping woods of Portland Oregon. This is a new band but these boys are not new to this. Henry Hill spent 25 years as the songwriter, guitarist and vocalist of heralded Portland band Hillstomp. Drummer Noah Phillips is a founding member of (equally heralded) Portland folk punk band The Taxpayers.
These two fellas came together in early 2026 and the walls immediately began to sweat. The Sun turned a deep pink and the Sturgeon deep in the Willamette looked at each other as if to say, “Finally”
This is Blues, this is Folk punk, this is dance music, this is Appalachian devil tunes. It’s all of those and it’s none of them.
This is Whipsaw.

This is also in conjunction with Erikas 19th Annual dance party! It all began when our friend and Primaltones bartender Erika Sugrue started this tradition way back in the day at the legendary Cafe Mundo and the tradition continues here at Primaltones!

So come and carry on the magic, dress in your favorite 80's outfit and kick off the fall season at this b***y shakin party!

This Friday September 25th: Blaze Tribute-with Kodyokay & Friends. come join us for a night of hip-hop, storytelling, DJ sets, dancing, and remembrance as we come together to celebrate and pat tribute to our friend Blaze, (also known as HEXME). All are welcome as this will be a night of music, dancing and celebrating life.

Saturday September 26th: TRL Night/Oregon Surf Championship Celebration At Primaltones Come request your favorite songs and genres and dance all night! This is happening in conjunction with the Oregon Surf Championship, so make sure and check out the surf comp in South Beach and then celebrate at Primaltones afterwards! All 21+ Oregon Surf competitors get $1 off pints all night.

This is the after party for a weekend of events happening all over Newport celebrating Newport Oregon Pride. All are welcome!
