Our first event, the Newport prom, took place at the barn last night. I think I am getting the hang of being a venue owner. Newport has a commendable group of very respectful juniors. We had a great time with them.

Well we are officially catering wedding from our new home. Here are pix from two of the first three weddings we catered from the barn at river run kitchen. We figured we might as well break the new kitchen in right! I cannot say it was not a little bit stressful to cater 3 wedding in one day from a new to us kitchen but it went very well. Sorry did not take more pix. The cake is one my 2nd daughter made from scratch for the wedding and the appetizer tables were from 2 of the weddings.

Good evening
I would like to take the time to introduce myself and our family. My wife Anna Mary and I jonathan stoltzfus and our 6 daughters and 1 son are the new happy owners of the barn at river bend! While I know I have big shoes to fill to run the event barn as well as Eric the previous owner did we are sure going to try hard! We have owned and run Rock’n j bbq custom catering for the last 14 years and are super excited to add a event venue to work out of going forward. We are planning on doing events of any size going forward weddings etc. we hope to build a bridal suite onto the barn this spring and add horses to the property as well. Feel free to reach out to us anytime with questions or just to say hi!!

It’s official. Today ownership of the The Barn has officially changed hands. I have no doubt the new owners will do great things and love the property as much as I have. I want to thank all of the wonderful friends and families I met over these few years. To all the staff that put their blood sweat and tears in on this amazing journey. And to the community that supported us. I have so many memories I will cherish. Can’t forget my family and friends that supported me and my crazy idea to make all this happen. Love you all and can’t wait to see what the new owners have in store for this wonderful venue.

Our River Run Yule Market is happening NOW and the Barn is looking extra festive. Santa is here meeting little ones, our local vendors are set up with incredible holiday finds, and the food trucks are already serving up delicious seasonal bites.

Bring the family, enjoy through the market, snap a photo with Santa, and soak in the cozy Christmas atmosphere. The fun runs until 5pm today!

And when the day winds down… the party heats up. 🔥🎅
