This week’s press conference officially introduced the Hoag SENIOR PLAYERS Championship, one of PGA TOUR Champions’ five major championships, coming to Newport Beach in 2027.

Thank you to our key partners at PGA TOUR Champions and Newport Beach Country Club, along with golf legend Fred Couples, for helping celebrate this milestone and the exciting future ahead.

A major championship is coming to Orange County!

Beginning in 2027, the Hoag SENIOR PLAYERS Championship, one of PGA TOUR Champions’ five major championships and one of the most prestigious events in senior golf, will be hosted at Newport Beach Country Club.

As title sponsor, Hoag is proud to help bring the sport’s biggest names and one of its most celebrated championships to Newport Beach, building on a longstanding partnership rooted in excellence, community impact and giving back.
