Join us for the first Miss Newman Court Service Project Day! This event marks the beginning of many opportunities to give back and make a lasting difference in our community.
- Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 9 AM
- Pioneer Park (1358 R Street, Newman)
As part of the Miss Newman Pageant process, contestants propose meaningful service projects. Our current Miss Newman Court is now leading the ex*****on of the following initiatives. This project day will include:
- The Giving Garden (Proposed by Miss Newman, Melany)
Pick up a free bag of locally grown veggies (while supplies last)
- The Blessing Box (Proposed by 1st Runner-Up, Rosario)
Please donate nonperishable food for the OHS Food Pantry
- Park Beautification (Proposed by Miss Congeniality, Samira)
Help plant and mulch our festival park, Pioneer Park
We invite all community members and high school students to participate. Community service hours, in addition to lunch and water, will be available to those who attend.
For your safety, please wear or bring closed-toe shoes, safety glasses, leather or gardening gloves, and a hat or head covering.
Come ready to work, connect, and support our community. This is just the start of something bigger as we look forward to the new service projects proposed by this year's Miss Newman contestants at the Newman Fall Festival Miss Newman Pageant.
A special thank you to John Newman, OHS FFA, OHS Librarian Brittney Clark, and the City of Newman Public Works Department for all their generosity and support with these projects.
