Newberry Festival The Newberry Festival was started in August 1991 and continues to this day!

The Newberry Festival was started in August 1991 by Gail and Glenn Mottern and Paul Slaven. Different people have been in charge of the festival over the years, including their daughter Bobbie Hellums and granddaughter Charolette Bell.

UPDATE: PROJECT HAS BEEN CANCELED AND MOVED TO SPRING!!!

Bad news Folks! The bridge over the river is going to be closed until mid to late October. Perfect timing for harvest..ugh. Make plans for your commute to work and be understanding that during this time it will take emergency services longer!

That's a wrap Folks! Another festival in the books! We can't thank our supporters enough for helping to make this festival a success. We loved seeing everyone and that's what makes the festival so special...the people!
